*When It Rains It Floods*

News either good or bad rather tends to come in bucket loads. It is either continues good news or just one bad news after the other. Some say its karma and some say life’s wheels are just like that.

Yesterday was one of those days where you are just bombarded with one thing after another. First, after what I thought finally being able to shake off the “fireman” tag I had earned previously, it came back to haunt me as I now have to put out another fire.

I continue to have problems with people answering my extremely simple questions. All I had wanted was a simple yes or no. If that was hard enough so I don’t understand why it is so hard for people to even just answer my question in the first place instead of taking me on a round trip across the globe.

Then news came to me a key member of my team has decided that it’s time to move on. At that point I was dreading the next IM or email that I was going to open. Was there going to be more news that would pummel me to bits? If that wasn’t enough I got stuck in traffic for 20 minutes when my house was only 2km away.

Some also forget that it is a deadline and not a dateline. There is a reason why it is called a deadline; you do not keep it you are dead (although not literally). People’s attitude to being on time is one of my peeves that if I had it my way you’d be out of the door faster than you can say the first letter in the sentence of your excuse.

It’s been awhile since I’ve been through something like this but I guess stress is part and parcel of the living. Just like if you know how to ride a bike it never leaves you no matter how long you leave it; stress and bad news are just the same.

I need to settle down, dust myself up and take it one problem at a time. It’s easy to become disillusioned when too many things come at you at the same time. Trying to resolve too many things at once tend to result in nothing getting solved.

The weekend couldn’t come at a better time for me to sort things out. I can always go back to my old tried and tested methods to work things out or there is another option;

I’ll just take it out on the next guy during my paintball session tomorrow ;)

Cheers!!! :D
